My favorite vacation spot

There is nothing more relaxing than watching the sun set on Atlantic Beach in North Carolina. It's even better if you're kickin' back with a tall adult beverage and listening to the waves roll in. It won't be long before I'm back there, enjoying the sun and surf and I can't wait!

IM newbe

I've never felt the urge to IM or, gasp, text message -- so when I heard about Tactic 3.4.4 being explored I thought this was the perfect opportunity to learn a few new tricks. 3.4.4's mission is to " implement the ability to use instant messaging and receive SMS/text messages from mobile phones as additional customer point of contact" Boy, am I ever jealous of the kids who have grown up with this stuff. My head is just spinning with multiple passwords and new technology. Between the wiki's and IM's and blogging and OH MY!
I do have to admit it's fun. I wish I wasn't doing the "23" things at the same time because it doesn't give me as much time to "play" since it takes me so long to "learn" but it shows you can teach an old dog new tricks and the dog will be happier for it.
I'm planning a trip to NC in the near future provided mother nature doesn't interfer and wash away my beach. One of the aggregators we've been trying out was developed not too far from where I'm going - at Chapel Hill. Gee, if I stop at the library school there and talk to the develpers can I claim the milage as a work expense? Evil thoughts are going around in my mind so I better move on.
It's also the home town of one of the neatest gourmet food shops anywhere, Southern Season. But that's another adventure altogether along with the belted cows story.

L and P at CML

I had just heading to the desk on a mission - I had to find someone to take my picture using technolgy. But which technology to choose? We have so many choices. With his usual perfect timing Mike Vocera's me to try and fix a self check out remotely. I was able to get my picture and walk over to the SCO without missing a beat.
You want me to do WHAT!

Picassa

I've been using Picassa, the free picture album from Google, for about a year now. It's very similar to Flickr and they keep adding new fun things to it. When you are finished learning about Flickr check out Picassa. The picture below came from my Picassa account.

This is a photo I took at the Lily Fest this year. It it in the Hocking Hills and was a perfect day...until the storm hit and we all had to run for cover.
